Connor’s role at New Life New Zealand:

Connor oversees all aspects of New Life New Zealand's operations in the fields of immigration and recruitment.

Key Skills:

  • Fully Licensed Immigration Adviser with over 13 years immigration experience
  • Strong background in HR and recruitment across government departments and the private sector
  • Extensive knowledge of the education sector with Secondary School and Teacher of English as a foreign Language qualifications

Employment background:

Connor started his career in Paris working for multinational organisations in various training and development roles. He moved to New Zealand in 1999 to work as an HR Consultant for a number of government departments including The Department of Internal Affairs and Foreign Affairs as well as tertiary education institutions. Connor went on to establish the first iteration of New Life New Zealand with his wife Catherine in 2004. 

When Connor is not working, he is…kicking back on the beach with family or trying his hand at pistol shooting!

Catherine’s Role at New Life New Zealand:

Catherine’s role is to provide clients and employers with outstanding immigration and recruitment advice.   

Key Skills:

  • Fully Licensed Immigration Adviser with over 10 years immigration experience
  • Strong competency in HR and Employment Law across government departments and the private sector
  • Excellent relationships with NZ employers and a Professional Member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand

Employment background:

Born in Wellington New Zealand and a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, Catherine started her career at the OECD in Paris where she worked in Human Resources. She moved back to New Zealand in 1999 to take a role as an HR Consultant for the New Zealand Fire Service & then Capability and Communications Manager for the Department of Internal Affairs. Catherine went on to establish the first iteration of New Life New Zealand with her husband in 2004.

When Catherine is not working, she is…to be found in garden tip toeing among the tulips or testing out her gluten-free baking skills.

Frederick's role at New Life New Zealand:

Frederick is a Licensed Immigration Adviser and he has a very important role assisting clients to prepare and submit the strongest application possible.

Key Skills:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Waikato
  • Strong experience in customer service and establishing relationships
  • Fluent speaker in English and Tagalog

Employment background:

Originally from the Philippines, Frederick and his family moved to New Zealand in 2002 seeking better opportunities to secure a bright future. As a working student, he has gained valuable experience in the Legal and Retail industries where his ability to adapt to the needs of clients/customers and form working relationships were established. He has recently graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Laws degree.

When Frederick is not working, he is… either joining Andrew and Connor to watch Liverpool Football club play or supporting the Sacramento Kings basketball team. He is also trying to be competent at Pistol shooting and appreciates spending time with his loved ones.

Andrew's role at New Life New Zealand:

Andrew is one of our Senior Recruitment Consultants who specialises in client assignments at Manager to Senior Manager level. Andrew is also responsible for offshore candidate sourcing.

Key Skills:

  • 18 years international recruitment experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Significant Human Resource Management experience at Director Level

Employment background:

Originally from Liverpool in the UK, Andrew has worked in executive recruitment for over 18 years, having graduated with a first class honours in sociology with psychology from Leeds University and successfully completing a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management. Prior to working for New Life New Zealand Andrew managed his own consultancy firm and was Group HR Manager for one of Europe’s largest printing companies, handling Senior appointments at Group Board and Subsidiary Board level. Andrew was also Regional HR Director for a leading International accountancy firm where he was instrumental in organising international secondments within the UK, Australasia, Europe, USA, Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

Andrew is actively involved in Rotary, Institute of Directors, HRINZ, Chamber of Commerce and CIPD. He is passionate about seeing companies achieve profitable growth and helping business professionals attain their true career potential.  

When Andrew  is not working, he is often seen crying into his beer watching Liverpool football team lose on a regular basis. He is however an optimist and has renewed his Sky subscription for next season. His other passion is cricket which he seems to manage to attend live at the grounds as the matches always appear to coincide with offshore candidate sourcing trips.

Jacqui is one of our Senior Recruitment Consultants who specialises in International client assignments at Senior Management level. Her areas of expertise cover IT, FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing and Education.

  • 26 Years Management Recruitment Experience  
  • Public and Private Sector Senior Level Appointments
  • GM Level Management Experience in Retail

Employment background:

For the last 26 years Jacqui has worked in management recruitment, supporting public and private sector clients handling senior management appointments on an international basis. She graduated from the University of Leicester with a Bachelor of Education degree before joining one of the UK’s leading bookstores as General Manager. Her career took her on to work in FMCG at a senior level before becoming a Principal Consultant with an executive search firm in Manchester. Jacqui set up and ran her own consultancy firm before working for New Life New Zealand. She was a certified assessor for the prestigious Investor in People Awards and chair of the Women in Business programme.

When Jacqui is not working, she spends her time creating new recipes, removing the cat and dog from her herb garden and masterminding events for her beloved Rotary Club – Auckland Harbourside.

Sabrina has a very important role supporting the licensed Immigration Advisers at New Life New Zealand.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between Chinese and New Zealand cultures for successful visa applications
  • Fluent speaker in Mandarin and English

Employment background:

Originally from Shanghai, Sabrina moved to New Zealand where she graduated from Waikato University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal studies, majoring in business. After several years working at a well known New Zealand venue popular with Chinese tourists, she began her career at New Life New Zealand.

When Sabrina is not working, she is…making the most of what New Zealand has to offer and spending time with her family. She is currently learning to drive which explains the nervous looks on the road. Us not her!

Jan’s Role at New Life New Zealand;

Jan is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office, allowing the Immigration Advisers and Recruitment Specialists to concentrate on giving their best to their clients

  • Ensuring seamless communication across the organisation and between the Immigration and Recruitment teams

Employment background:

Originally from South Wales in the UK, Jan and her family moved to New Zealand in 1986 seeking a better future and way of life in a warmer climate. Since then Jan has worked in the Banking, Medical and Insurance industries where her abilities of effective organisation and interpersonal skills were honed.

When Jan is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as going to the movies, theatre and reading.

Amandeep performs a very important function as the bridge between our South Asian clients and our Immigration Advisers.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between South Asian and New Zealand cultures for successful visa applications
  • Fluent speaker in Punjabi.

Employment background:

Originally from India, Amandeep first came to New Zealand in 2008 following a successful career as a Print/Online Journalist in India. She has since graduated from the Waikato Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Communication in Professional Writing and has worked in the immigration industry for a number of years in Marketing and Communications

When Amandeep is not working... she is writing articles on migrant issues and is well respected in the community for her work or spending time with her beautiful little boy.
